Pokémon with Event-Only Acquisition

These Pokémon and forms rely on special gifts, event encounters or transformations unlocked through events. Event history, permanent gifts and retained unlocks do not describe the same kind of access; consult the availability guide for expired routes.
Event encounters and gifts
Pokémon: 5Partner Cap Pikachu uses the Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon QR gift; Original Color Magearna is a HOME National Pokédex reward. Walking Wake and Iron Leaves use event Tera Raids, while Pecharunt needs the Mythical Pecha Berry and epilogue story requirements.
Retained raid news or event items can still unlock a new encounter. Their existence does not mean the raid or item is being distributed now, and owning an old specimen alone is not a new acquisition route.
Transformations with event prerequisites
Pokémon: 2HOME gives an ordinary Melmetal with the Gigantamax Factor; its giant body appears in Sword/Shield battles and is not stored in HOME. Mega Zeraora is also temporary: Mega Dimension’s EX3 acquisition chain follows earlier story and mission requirements, including the Diancie/Mewtwo prerequisites. These transformed appearances should not be mistaken for separately received permanent specimens.
