Primal Pokémon and Primal Reversion

Primal Reversion temporarily restores the ancient power of Kyogre or Groudon. It is a separate mechanic from Mega Evolution. The orb requirements below apply to the core-series games that support it.
Mega Dimension also supports automatic orb-based Primal Reversion when entering battle. It does not drain Mega Power; player-owned forms do not gain the bosses’ simulated weather effects. GO instead spends Primal Energy for an eight-hour transformation, with its own bonuses.
Kyogre
Pokémon: 1In compatible core games, Kyogre holds the Blue Orb and undergoes Primal Reversion on entering battle.
Groudon
Pokémon: 1In generations VI and VII, Groudon holds the Red Orb. Primal Reversion adds the Fire type and changes its Ability and stats.
