Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the services provided by the PokéPC platform. Please read these Terms carefully before using the services. By accessing or using the services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the services. If you do not agree with any of these Terms, we kindly ask you to not use the services provided by the PokéPC platform.
The following terms apply to all services provided by the PokéPC platform (the pokepc.net website), including content posted on our Discord server.
Both the website and the Discord server are referred to as "the spaces", "the services" or "the platform".

Acceptance of Terms
- This site provides free apps, services, and tools that will still be free as long as the server maintenance costs are low. Because of that, it is important a fair usage (to not abuse) of the services provided on this website.
- To be able to keep providing a free and optimal service to our users, we need to have some limitations in the amount of resources that each user is able to create. We reserve the right to limit the usage of the services in case of abuse or misuse.
- Via our donations program (Patreon), we unlock additional perks to our users in form of additional storage for the existing features or similar limit increases (depends on the tier and the feature), or featuring their profile in some way (badges, banners, featured streaming, etc.) in features that may be added in the future.
- The site admins reserve the right to delete any user account or data, whenever there is a suspicion of the services being abused intentionally (via scripts, third-party tools, exploits of existing bugs, etc.), causing huge spikes in the server resources usage, and consequently, increasing the server costs.
- Be nice. Treat everyone with respect. Absolutely no harassment, sexism, racism, LGTBIQ-phobia or other forms of hate speech will be tolerated in any part of our spaces (which includes comments and user-generated content such as trainer profiles and dexes). If you see something against the rules or something that makes you feel unsafe, let us know. We want this community to be a welcoming space!
- No spam or self-promotion in any of our comments sections (that includes any future comment section on the website, replies in our social networks, or Discord posts).
- No age-restricted or obscene content. This includes text, images, or links featuring nudity, sex, hard violence, or other graphically disturbing content.
- Piracy will not be tolerated. Do not share warez or discuss your devious plans for piracy. This includes topics like emulators, console piracy software, game ROMs, or hacked Pokémon (via save editing apps or trade servers). If you are requesting help with pirated software or content, your content will be deleted from our website or our discord.
- The service is provided as-is. We don't take any responsibility in case of data loss due to a client or server malfunction, but we will always try our best to recover everything in case of disaster. We are not responsible for any damage caused by the use of our services. We are not responsible for browser incompatibilities or for browser extensions or third-party tools that may interact with our services.
- Any activity, recurrent in time or not (depending on the severity), that is considered unfair or harmful to this website, to its community, or to other people, will be most probably translated into the termination of your account and/or deletion of your data, without any previous warning if the moderators consider so. You may also be banned from the Discord server without previous warning if we consider any of these terms are being broken, depending on the severity of the situation.
In summary, be nice to the website, to the community, and to the people behind it. We are here to help you, but we also need your help to keep this community a safe and welcoming place for everyone.
Donations & how we use funds
As the number of users of the PokéPC network (the platform) grows, so do the costs of maintaining the website and paying for its cloud services. To help with these costs, we have implemented a donation system that allows users to contribute to the platform's maintenance.
The donation system is entirely voluntary, and users are not required to donate to access or use all the features of the platform.
By donating, the users not only contribute to the platform's maintenance but also gain access to additional benefits for the existing platform features, in a form of early access, extra capacity, or other perks.
We dont want to put entire features behind a paywall, but we can't neither allow unlimited content generation on them without some form of control. The donation system helps us to maintain a balance between the platform's growth and the costs of maintaining it.
Extra perks are not exclusive to donors and may be available to other users depending on how they help the platform: via helping with the development, through design and content creation, or by helping us reaching out to more users (e.g. being featured in a video, website or post).
We believe in the importance of the community and the value of the contributions of each user, regardless of their financial capacity.
Without the supporters and the Pokémon fan community, the PokéPC platform (formerly known as SuperEffective.gg) would not exist.
Privacy and Analytics
We use self-hosted, privacy-friendly analytics to understand how our website is used and to improve it over time.
- We operate our own instances of Umami and Plausible for analytics. These tools are cookieless by default and store only aggregated, non-personal data. IP addresses may be briefly processed to derive a coarse location (e.g., country) and are not stored long-term.
- We do not use third-party advertising cookies, and we do not sell your personal data.
- We use Cloudflare as protection and as a traffic proxy for the website.
For more details, see our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for ensuring you have all rights necessary to submit the content and grant this license.

Pre-release and Early Access disclaimer
Users accessing pre-release or early access versions of the website should be aware that these versions are still in development and subject to change. Errors, bugs, and data loss may occur during this phase.
Features in pre-release versions may be added, removed, or significantly altered before the final release. Users should understand that their data might not be preserved and could potentially be cleaned up when transitioning to the final version.
By participating in pre-release or early access, users acknowledge and accept the risks associated with using unfinished software, including the possibility of data loss and feature changes.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the services in a way that could cause harm. You may stop using the services at any time. The services may link to or interoperate with third‑party services (e.g., Patreon, Canny). We are not responsible for third‑party services and disclaim any liability arising from your use of them. Your use of third‑party services is governed by their terms and privacy policies.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where PokéPC is established, without regard to conflict of laws principles. You and PokéPC agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in that jurisdiction for disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the services. If you are a consumer in the EEA or the UK, you may bring claims in your country of residence and rely on mandatory consumer protection laws of that country.
Miscellaneous
These Terms are the entire agreement between you and PokéPC regarding the services. If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Neither party is liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond reasonable control (force majeure). Headings are for convenience only.
